Welcome to the third week's post for my Jodyri Designs
Advent “box” and my Harry Potter Lego advent calendar. This year the
Jodyri Advent Box was paid for by donations while the Lego Advent
Calendar was given to me by my fiancé. In this post I'll be showing what
I got since my last post which I posted on the sixth of December. Spoilers after the “jump” if you are seeing this on the home page. The thirteenth of December gave me a white Christmas tree with a star on top. It will make a lovely addition to my winter Christmas village once I get it set up under/next to the Christmas tree.
The Jodyri thread of the day is a new tie-dye thread TD 048/. Floyd which fittingly has pink as one of the colours as it is of course inspired by Pink Floyd! The fourteenth of December came with another window for the hearth and window combination — this time with a chocolate frog looking to escape! Here are all three together.
The Jodyri thread of the day is another Advent Special “Light Opal” a beautiful light blue/white/grey combination I can't wait to stitch with! The fifteenth of December brings us a new minifig! This time it's Padma Patil, Ron's date for the Yule Ball. I did have to look up which one of the twins she was as I wasn't certain but fortunately there are people out there who do know and put things on their sites. And with a lot more information than I give!
The Jodyri thread is the matching thread for the week 2 fabric “Christmas Mantle” and is another Advent Special. The sixteenth of December gave me not just one but TWO white Christmas trees! They are smaller than the day thirteen one so will make a nice trio of trees together.
The Jodyri thread of the day is a returning Limited edition — this time from July 2018 “Blue Kaleidoscope” a great thread to have more of!The seventeenth of December was quite musical! First the Lego advent gave me a tiny grey (looks black in the photo) grand piano complete with a music stand!
Then the Jodyri thread of the day was a new tie-dye thread TD 049/. Zeppelin. Which going with the band theme of the tie-dye threads we have been getting so far must mean it's Led Zeppelin inspired! The colour itself is fabulous!Wednesday's are my fabric opening days and this is the week three fabric — a fantastic green ice dyed fabric. No two pieces are alike — some have colours others don't due to the way the ice melts as it dyes, so this is a very individual bit of fabric.
The eighteenth of December comes with a half circle banquet table with what looks to be ice sculptures in the centre. A fun addition — after all what's a ball without food?
The Jodyri thread of the day is one of my favourites from last year — in other words a returning Limited Edition thread — from November 2019 “Centaur Magic”. A delightful combination of a good green, a lovely blue and a creamy beige.
The nineteenth of December gave me the other Patil twin! She's Parvati and was Harry's date for the Yule ball. I really like that they not only adjusted their skin colour to be not pale pink but also added tiny gold dots between their eyebrows to represent bindi. And here are the twins next to each other, so you can see they really are differently dressed.
Today's Jodyri Designs thread of the day is another Advent Special “Sloe Gin” a lovely purple and white combination.
That's all for this week's Advents box things — I'll be back next Sunday with the fourth week's post!
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.

Such fun threads and legos! The Patil twins look great.
ReplyDeleteYes, the threads and Lego were fun to unpack and will be fun to play with! They got the Patil twins pretty spot on costume wise.
