Friday Freebie: 25 x 25 for 2019 - December

Welcome to the twelfth and last 25 x 25 for 2019 pattern! It's been a year of fun little stitches, so it's a pity it's ending but next year brings a slightly larger size with more possibilities! This month I was also able to finish it - not just one version but TWO! I used both to make a two sided ornament.

Friday Freebie: 25 x 25 for 2019 - October

Welcome to the tenth 25 x 25 for 2019 pattern! This month I also managed to not only stitch it but finish finish it! This was, like last month against all odds as I cleared out the shed on Tuesday, made a couple of trips to the dump on Wednesday, followed by the cleaning of the rental van on Thursday. My arthritis is not impressed, nor is my rheumatism, but I now have space in my shed and garage - and the junk in the garden is gone too - I'm happy.

Welcome to the ninth of the 25 x 25 for 2019 patterns! This month I not only stitched it but I finish finished it too! Not sure how as my body is hating me for having the nerve to leave the house yesterday but I had an appointment to go to and leaving the house was part of the requirement for this particular appointment.

Friday Freebie: 25 x 25 for 2019 - July

Welcome to the seventh of the 25 x 25 for 2019 patterns! This month it's very late - I had planned on doing it when I got back from the UK but I wasn't able to due to an infection in my left index finger. I got back and ended up having a minor operation to let the puss out of my finger (with a second follow up after as once wasn't enough). Its funny how much I actually use my left index finger for things - typing became impossibly slow as I had to type one handed. I can't hold my hoop to stitch and I can't do the dishes either (This wouldn't be so bad if the boys didn't refuse to help with that). Fortunately things are improving as I can now type again - though it's now too hot to even try to stitch but that's another thing altogether.

Welcome to the sixth of the 25 x 25 for 2019 patterns! This month I got to use two beautiful threads - I'll tell you a bit more about them below. I managed to stitch the pattern twice but didn't get round to finishing them into a biscornu.

Welcome to the fifth of the 25 x 25 for 2019 patterns! This month I *thought* I'd fully finished what I stitched but it turned out I'd planned to but not done it. However as I have a bit of time this weekend I'll make the most of it being unfinished and I'll make the gazillion photo's needed to make a photo tutorial of making an uneven count biscornu.

Welcome to the fourth of the 25 x 25 for 2019 patterns! This month the pattern is a day early due to the Spring Mystery SAL starting tomorrow. The pattern is a really easy stitch and I have included a second easy pattern for the back this time!

Welcome to the third of the 25 x 25 for 2019 patterns! This month the central area is mostly done with straight stitches! While it looks like the cross stitches are random if you look carefully you can see that if worked along diagonal lines it's pretty easy to see where to put the next stitch.

Welcome to the second of the 25 x 25 for 2019 patterns! This month I went for a tiny overall pattern - I hope you like it and have fun with either by using the colours I set or by using your own colours! I swapped the red and yellow around on the back of my biscornu.

Friday Freebie: 25 x 25 for 2019 - January

Welcome to the first of the 25 x 25 for 2019 patterns! It's quite a small size but very versatile - you can go in all sorts of directions with a small pattern - it can become an ornament, a fob, a tiny biscornu, a filler pattern on something bigger - use your imagination and have fun with it! Although it's January and more seasonal subjects for now are snow etc. I'm dreaming of spring so decided to bring a bit of spring this month and made a pretty floral pattern instead!

25 x 25 for 2019

 25 x 25 is pretty small but gives space to do lots of fun stuff - and to make lots of fun stuff too! You can make a fob, ornament, earrings, or even a pendant with them if you wish! In some cases the pattern will tessellate nicely and you could make it as big as you wish!

Friday Freebie: Surrounded

This week's freebie started with me wanting to use DMC 995 and because it goes so well with black and white I added those too. The nice thing of course is that any colour goes well with black and white so if you don't like DMC 995 you can swap that out for any colour you like!
