Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL: Part 9

Welcome to the last part of the first band! I'm sorry this post is late - life happened as they say and things did not go to plan. At last you get to finish those toes and make the boundary between this band and the next! I have an important announcement added to this post so please don't skim but read it all carefully!

Introducing: Viking Dragon

Those of you who watch my social media accounts will have seen this photo, me referring to "Viking Dragon" and may be wondering what it's all about. Well... it all started with the latest Stitching Pirates contest: Any One Colour Contest. I like this kind of contest as it challenges me to think about what I want to do - I don't always manage to meet the deadline, which is a shame, but it doesn't upset me as I will have had fun with the doing already.

Friday Freebie: Beer Money Inc.

It's not often that I make fan art based on a game, especially not one that is so newly released as the game released by Tiny Rebel Brewery but this game is so incredibly fun I just had to! The game is called Beer Money Inc. and you can read all about it here.

Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL: Part 8

Welcome to the next instalment of the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL! It's week 8 and we are getting close to the end of this band! One more week and we will start the first of 2 parts for the next band!

Friday Freebie: Spring Dance

Happy Friday! I hope this posts finds you well despite all that's going on in the world right now. With spring round the corner I find myself drawn yet again towards the new DMC colours for the Friday freebie as they are so bright and cheerful - sadly I wasn't able to get the colours right in my designing program so below you will find a photo of the threads themselves so you can see how beautiful they are together.

The Next Mystery SAL: The Spring Mystery

Many of you will remember the result of the first Mystery SAL I did on NYE (and a bit before and a bit after depending on your time zone). People had so much fun they wanted to do more so here is the next one! I asked in the Facebook group if people were ok with some pre-stitching (doing some work before the SAL actually starts - at a slower pace) and the response was positive so... we will be starting a little earlier and do a slightly larger pattern than the NYE one.

Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL: Part 7

Welcome to the next instalment of the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL! It's the 7th week and we *still* haven't finished the first band! The good news is that there will be a new band in 2 weeks' time - which means that today is reveal time for the next band!

Friday Freebie: Fob a Month - February

Welcome back! It's Friday so time for another freebie - this time the February Fob a Month pattern. Like last month I made a pattern inspired by the colour of a flower - daffodils this time as they start showing themselves around the middle of the month and really brighten my days, more so than crocuses which are too small to be seen from my window.

WIP Wednesday

Last week the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler looked like this. Normally you would not have to play spot the difference but as I mentioned yesterday I used the seam ripper as much as the needle and didn't get much of anywhere with it so I put it aside before I flung it into a bin.

Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL: Part 6

Welcome to the rather late edition of the new time of the SAL! Late because I was side tracked and forgot today was new time day and thought I still had plenty of time - opps. I do apologise for this and hope I don't do it again - I'll certainly try not to!

Friday Freebie: Ornament of the Month - February

Welcome to the second part of the Ornament of the Month for this year! This month we are doing purple again, but this time a bit lighter. I did find time to do part of a pre-stitch this month and it's a good thing too! What looked fantastic on paper turned out to look like a nasty mess once stitched. Fortunately after a couple of tries I found what I liked and looks nice!
