Jodyri Advent - Christmas Day and Overview

Welcome to the final post for my Jodyri Designs Advent “box” and my Harry Potter Lego advent calendar. This year the Jodyri Advent Box was paid for by donations while the Lego Advent Calendar was given to me by my fiancĂ©. In this post I'll be showing what I got since my last post which I posted on the 28th of December. Spoilers after the “jump” if you are seeing this on the home page.
This is the Christmas day thread — aptly called “The Christmas Rose” — pale pink, yellow and green.
The Christmas day fabric wasn't a fabric but a lovely blackwork pattern (carefully hidden apart from the name due to copyright), a set of counting pins and another skein of “The Christmas Rose” thread — awesomeness! I'm especially thrilled with the counting pins as I've been wanting more than the three that came with last year's Advent box — my wish was granted without me saying a word!

And with that the end of the daily gifts has come!  Now it's time to show you what I got in group photos as all the single photos of the last few weeks don't really show the diversity of threads.

Week 2
Week 3
Week 4
Christmas Day
All the threads
All the fabrics
One thing I liked was that two of the fabrics had matching threads — I love that!
My favourite fabric of the Advent was the week three green fabric — it's an ice-dye which means that more than ever it's a unique piece of fabric. I couldn't choose one single favourite thread, so I picked them differently. At the top is my favourite returning Limited Edition thread “Centaur Magic”. Below that is my favourite new tie-dye “Zeppelin”. Finally, as I couldn't pick just one, are my two favourite Advent Specials: “Great Expectations” and “Story Seas”.
For the curious I made a photo of my Lego Advent calendar items put on the box as that has a little scene to play with. Hermione can play piano, so she's been put at the piano, I have no idea if the twins can sing, but I thought it fun for them to try. Harry is *finally* getting his dance with Cho and as Ron doesn't like to dance I put him on the sofa with the golden egg.
And, as Lego always gives extra's of the smaller bits, here are almost all the spare bits (I found a few in the box as I was taking it apart, including a set of wands, but as I'd put all the spare bits in my spare bits jar I couldn't take a new photo) Most of the smaller bits had at least one spare part. Each of the six minifigs came with two sets of wands — the things at the bottom — so I have an embarrassment of wands now!

And that is it for this year's Jodyri Advent box and Harry Potter Lego Advent calendar! I hope you enjoyed the posts — I'll be back next December with the 2021 one, Michelle has announced that it's going to be offered in January or February, so I'm looking forward to signing up for it!

  1. It's lovely to see everything in one place but gosh, that's a lot of wands! You sure Olivander isn't hiding somewhere in that box? :D

    1. Yeah, It was so nice to see it all together as I'd kept them all sorted in the paper bags they came from, so I'd not muddle them up. Yes, I'm sure Olivander isn't hiding in the box, but I'm fairly sure that someone might have robbed the shop and hidden them in the box!
