Advent Magical Mystery SAL 2020 - Final post and Back

Welcome to the final post of the Advent Magical Mystery SAL! I hope you like the end result of the mystery! Below you will find a pattern for an optional back with enough space to add your initials should you wish to do so, if you don't then you can just finish the bottom gold bar the same as the top one.

Advent Magical Mystery SAL 2020 - Part 4

Welcome to the fourth part of the Advent Magical Mystery SAL! This week you get the final pattern part of the mystery! I do hope you have had fun stitching this short SAL and like what you have stitched! I'll be back tomorrow around the same time with the wrap up post and an optional back. I’m really keen to show how mine turned out, but I have to wait till the next post.

Advent Magical Mystery SAL 2020 - Part 3

Welcome to the third part of the Advent Magical Mystery SAL! This week you get to add some more stitches to the two toned red zigzags and a whole lot of green. Hopefully you were able to get all of the stitching done in time! Last week I wasn't able to but this week I not only finished part one but also part two!

Advent Magical Mystery SAL 2020 - Part 2

Welcome to the second part of the Advent Magical Mystery SAL! This week you get to add more stitches to what you have already done (of course hehe). Hopefully you were able to get last week's stitching done in time. I didn't but that's because I forgot that the patterns were being given at midday(ish) and not at the more usual 10pm and I'd planned to get the rest of the stitching done this afternoon. I'll still get the stitching done this afternoon, but you won't see it till next week.

Advent Magical Mystery SAL 2020 - Part 1

Welcome to the first part of the Advent Magical Mystery SAL! As this is just four parts you will get a lot more stitches in one go each week, though I have tried to make it reasonably easy to do in the time you have till the next one.

The Next Mystery SAL: The Advent Magical Mystery SAL 2020

As a final ending to a year of extra SALs I'm going to host an Advents SAL - a four week, one pattern a week SAL. Although it's called the Advent SAL it's mostly called that because of when I'm giving the patterns. I have adjusted the colours to be a bit more Christmassy, but you can really do this in any colour combination. You will mostly get just under 500 stitches per week.

Seasons SAL - Autumn

Welcome to the autumn edition of the Seasons SAL! This is also the final part of this SAL as we started with winter in January, went on to spring in April, and did summer in July. Rather to my surprise I managed to finish stitching this on time - I'd hoped to also fully finish it but I was just too tired and still need to stitch the Temperature SAL (which is why this post is first, not second as I'd said this morning).

Seasons SAL - Summer

Welcome to the summer edition of the Seasons SAL! Last time I was not able to get the pattern stitched completely but somehow I did manage this time so you not only get to see the last one completed but this one too!

Seasons SAL - Spring

Welcome to the Spring edition of the Seasons SAL! Like last time I I still haven't got a time machine (If only!) and as it's been a super busy month I just wasn't able to finish the stitching for this month's pattern. I did get the Winter one stitched in January though so I'll show it first.

Seasons SAL - Winter

Welcome to the winter edition of the Seasons SAL! A bit later than planned but I had some teething issues with the Temperature SAL that needed sorting out properly first - it's my first time doing something that's very specific and I had to learn how to do it properly. I also had all these plans for showing off a stitched, finished item but of course I also thought I had a time machine and could do more stitching than there were hours in the day - with the NYE Mystery SAL only finishing at lunchtime today I just didn't have time to do more than collapse for a bit, make the New Year's post, the Temperature SAL post, watch Doctor Who, and now this.

Blackwork SAL - December

Welcome to the twelfth part of the Blackwork SAL! This month is the last part of the 2019 Blackwork SAL - I hope you have enjoyed this SAL! For those who want to continue next year I have another Blackwork SAL on the way! You can read more about it here. But that's not the only blackwork I'm doing next year! I'm also doing blackwork style stockings - as I'm designing many of the patterns from scratch they might not be true blackwork, but they do look very pretty! You can read more about it here.

Friday Freebie: 50 x 50 for 2019 - December

Welcome back for the twelfth and final edition of the 50 x 50 pattern series! This month I was not able to stitch the entire main pattern, I might have done if I'd not done a Sleeping Beauty impersonation on the sofa last night but I did do that so I didn't finish much at all.

Seasons SAL - Announcement Post

I wanted to do a SAL that was easy for many people to keep up with while still having a bit of fun and my fiancé suggested doing a Seasons SAL - while I've not done it exactly the way he was thinking of (a larger pattern spread over three months), it was a great idea and this is what I have planned for it: I will give a pattern at the beginning of the month four times a year. You will get a winter, spring, summer, and autumn pattern.

Blackwork SAL - November

Welcome to the eleventh part of the Blackwork SAL! Thank you all for the birthday wishes, I had a great day and was spoilt rotten! For those wondering why my fb birthday shows as another date - I had stalker issues in the past and setting a different birthday from the real one is one of the ways to avoid issues. On to what you came for... this is the second to last post for the SAL bringing you the second to last part - this month it's a LOT of stitches!

Friday Freebie: 50 x 50 for 2019 - November

Welcome back for the eleventh edition of the 50 x 50 pattern series! This month I was able to stitch the entire main pattern - and finish finish it too! I'm pretty pleased as I only started this last night, so you can see it stitches up quickly!

Blackwork SAL - October

Welcome to the tenth part of the Blackwork SAL! This month has been going amazingly well! Not only have I caught up with the September part that I was behind on but I also stitched this month's pattern! I have no idea how I am managing to stitch so much as I have been doing a good 1500 stitches every weekend this month as well.

Friday Freebie: 50 x 50 for 2019 - October

Welcome back for the tenth edition of the 50 x 50 pattern series! This month I was able to stitch over half of the main pattern but not the alternate version - not surprising really since I lost yesterday's stitching time for this pattern to the October NFSAL that took much longer than expected to finish finish.

Friday Freebie: Geometrics

Happy Friday! This week is a non SAL week but I have a freebie for you as usual. As is often the case with the patterns I make, it can be made as large or as small as you desire. Although it's designed in one colour you can of course use one colour or many - or a variegated thread! This week's pattern is one blackwork fans will love, though it isn't strictly blackwork.

Blackwork SAL - September

Welcome to the ninth part of the Blackwork SAL! This month things did not go to plan for the stitching, between not being well, unexpected appointments, and getting told today that my new fridge is getting delivered tomorrow. It was supposed to be 15 calendar days but apparently they really meant five working days. I'm happy! The old fridge has just about had it, so getting it sooner rather than later is good but I just haven't had the time to complete the stitching.

Friday Freebie: 50 x 50 for 2019 - September

Welcome back for the ninth edition of the 50 x 50 pattern series! This month I was able to stitch the main pattern but not the alternate version - a vast improvement on the last two months! I can really tell that I'm out of practice with stitching as it took me five days to do the stitching which is more than usual.
