I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.

Jodyri Advent - Introduction
Welcome to the introduction post for my Jodyri Designs Advent "box" and my Harry potter Lego advent calendar. Both were gifts - the Harry Potter Lego advent calendar was given to me by my fiancé and the Jodyri Designs advent box was paid for by my dear donators which means I see that as a gift as well! I won't be posting any spoilers in today's post - I'll be making a new post each week after Michelle of Jodyri Designs has given the go ahead to post each weeks goodies so there will be a delay to give everyone time to open theirs. What I will be showing is the closed packaging in case you are curious.

An Extra Post... Valentines Day Road Trip
As you may have seen on Friday with my rather late Bookmark SAL post, I went on a road trip with my fiancé. One of the places we ended up was the bead shop I usually order from online - it's a bit too far away for me to physically go to normally but we were in the area so I couldn't resist dropping by despite the fact that it was 15 minutes to closing time! The shop in question is Wirwar Kralen which is located up north from me near Leiden. I'd seen pictures on their website showing the shop and was convinced that it looked so big because of a fisheye lens or something - I was wrong (and very glad to be so wrong!) the place is HUGE! Not just large but actually HUGE.

Post!
In-between the mayhem of the NYE Mystery SAL my long awaited for order arrived - it had been delayed for 2 reasons - firstly due to the huge number of orders Michelle from Jodyri Designs had to lengthen the time from order to posting from 15 days to 4 weeks and secondly I'd said that if it was easier to just send all of my November and December stuff together - it was. So it was all put in the post on the 11th December and after that the postal gods decided I didn't need all this stuff till after Christmas - as if!

Jodyri Advent Box - Christmas Day and Overview
Hiya and welcome to the fifth post and last of the short series of posts that
happened till I ran out of advent packages (which is today). If you haven't opened
yours
yet please skip this post till you have! I'm posting this in between the NYE Mystery posts as I want to get it posted today so I can focus on the NYE Mystery and the January 1st
posts.
For my birthday last month my fiancé gave me a most wondrous gift - one of the small advent boxes from Jodyri Designs, my favourite hand dyer. As this is the fifth post I am going to skip the long story about things (you can read it here if you missed the first week's post) and just move on to the package.

No SAL Tuesday
Yes, you read that correctly! January has 5 Tuesday's and I'm hosting "only" 4 SAL's on Tuesday's so that means there is no SAL today! What that means is that you have a week off from new patterns and you can perhaps catch up or go back and stitch something you didn't have time to before.
