The Spring Magical Mystery SAL 2020 - Part 5

Welcome to the first part of the Spring Mystery SAL proper! To make things easier for later finding of things we are going to continue with the numbering started with the pre-stitch patterns so this is the fifth pattern for this embroidery so it's part five. It's bright and sunny today - a lovely spring day!
My apple tree is in full flower and it's full of happy bees! A big change from last week when I had to rescue a bumblebee from my chilly shed and it refused to sit on a flower but chose to sit on my hand - probably due to my body heat. It stayed there for a good ten minutes defrosting and having a drink of the sugar water I offered it (it licked my thumb and that feels so weird)
She drank two spoons of sugar water so was really thirsty/hungry! But enough of bees... on to the Spring Mystery SAL!
This is mine after part four. I'm really happy with the colours I chose even though the two greens occasionally blend together a bit.

Colours used this time:

  • Colour A (DMC 445 on the pattern)
  • Colour B (DMC 307 on the pattern)
  • Colour C (DMC 368 on the pattern)
  • Colour D (DMC 320 on the pattern)
Number of stitches:
  • 20 - in Colour A
  • 16 - in Colour B
  • 40 - in Colour C
  • 16 - in Colour D
For a total of 92 stitches for this part.

You can find the pattern here

See you for the next part of the mystery in four hours!

I do not expect anyone to be able to be up to date at all times during the SAL - you need to eat and sleep at the very least so expect to be "behind" part - if not all - of the time! It's part of the nature of this type of SAL for this to happen, so being "behind" is the normal state of affairs. If you are a slow stitcher expect to finish "after" the SAL has "finished" - though tbh the SAL is always available and new people find the patterns on a regular basis so it's never really over.

On all social media sites the tag to use is:  #SpringMysterySAL - let's make the world see what we are up to!

PS: Don't forget you can ask all your questions in the comments below and there is a Facebook group to share your stitching results etc. which you can find here
