Blackwork SAL 2020 - April

Welcome to the fourth part of the 2020 Blackwork SAL! Some people pointed out that if I kept on giving as many patterns as I had been in the first three months that I'd run out of patterns some time before the end of the year. They were right! I'm not sure how I got my calculations so off but somehow I had. I had a good long think about things and decided not to go with my initial plan of just doing lots of patterns as it takes a lot of time to make them and then I'd not have time for other things. There are 19 patterns left and eight months (Including April) so I'll do two or three a month for the rest of the year. This month I'm giving two pattens.

It's a bit of a weird angle but here is mine after I'd stitched this month's patterns. The sparkly fabric is lovely in person but it certainly makes photographing this a bit of a challenge.
So here is a slightly different angle showing the stitching.

This month ALL patterns only use one page for printing.

You can find the pattern for the octagons here
You can find the pattern for the plusses here
You can find the pattern for the rectangles here
You can find the pattern for the squares here

Have fun and I'll see you tomorrow for the next part of the Mini Magical Mystery SAL and Friday for the 35 x 35 for 2020!

  1. There are 21 spaces left (counting April) in the rectangles version.

    1. That is correct - but as I mentioned in the information post I'd be giving the number of patterns as for the number of spaces in the plusses version, so if you are doing the rectangle version you can do some twice or perhaps use some of the patterns from the "A Blackwork Christmas SAL" if you'd rather not do some twice :)

    2. I'm trying to locate A Blackwork Christmas SAL but can't seem to find it in your previous mystery sals or in your blackwork sal. I am doing rectangles and would like to make every rectangle a different pattern. Can you perhaps point me in the right direction?

  2. Another month! I'm torn...I'm a little sad I only get to stitch two patterns a month now, but I'm also glad I won't have to make a choice between several pretty patterns at some point! Guess I'll just have to start another blackwork project at some point as I enjoy it this much :D
