WIP Wednesday

It's that time of the week when I show off what I have done during the past week - or not as the case may be... This week in Vakje per week I got to have some fun making a mistake and NOT ripping it!

I know it sounds like the worst thing ever but I decided that I was not prepared to rip out 2/3 of the stitches when I actually preferred the look I got when the elements were closer together.
So instead I added another partial bit to the pattern and left it at that. I used DMC Color Variations 4140.
The other thing I worked on you first saw on the first of July - the first of the 31 days of freebie patterns. I've been super busy writing up all the blog posts, preparing the patterns and making them into pdf's along with making pictures of the patterns to show on the blog with the pattern so I've not had much time to stitch. However progress has been made and I'll have enough finished in time to make the tutorial I promised on the 15th.
You can clearly see the shape of the whole stocking now - I'm using a 5"/12,5 cm hoop. It's 3" high made on 18ct Aida. I've finished the red and Kreinik so just need to do the green. I've been doing the side edges before filling the space in as then I don't need to count so much and can just zoom along when I have a moment.

You can read all about the Christmas in July project here and you will find all the patterns I have given so far in the SAL side bar to the left.

Have a great day and see you tomorrow - with another princess stocking!

  1. I like the way it looks with the center one pivoted.

  2. They say mistakes make needlework unique, yours also makes it pretty :) With how much work you have to do for the Christmas in July, I'm surprised you got any stitching done at all!

    1. Thanks! I need to get the stocking done so working on it is just as important as working on the rest of the project.
