Welcome to the last pre-stitch of the Spring Mystery SAL! This post is a little late because I got side tracked going down the path of things that will help with baking sour dough bread. As many of you have noticed things are getting a bit more difficult to get and I made two sour dough starters - one with spelt flour, one with plain flour - that are getting close to their first week of life. I enjoy baking my own bread so perhaps I'll be baking bread more often now. Next time I post for this mystery things will be starting for the main mystery! I hope you are excited for this is I am! Since I designed this back in January I have managed to forget what it looks like so I'm as much in the dark as you are (though I could cheat and peek I'm not going to!).
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.

Mini Magical Mystery SAL 2 - Part 2
Welcome back for day two of the second round of mystery stitching! I hope you didn't have too much trouble with the counting yesterday! I am pretty sure that is the only time you will have to count a lot to get the placement right.

Mini Magical Mystery SAL 2 - Part 1
Welcome back for day one of the second round of mystery stitching! I have seen some amazing finishes since my post with the last pattern of the first mystery - and some fully finished things too! It was wonderful waking up and seeing what had been stitched while I was sleeping. Now on to the next round of stitching!
Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Final Post
Welcome back for the final post of the first Mini Magical Mystery SAL! Don't worry it's not over - the Mini Magical Mystery SAL 2 starts in an hour! This post is just a final post showing my stitching and what I have planned to do with the results of the mysteries.

Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 14
Welcome back for day fourteen of mystery stitching! It's the final part of this mystery but not the final post. Tomorrow I'll be back with a separate post with my day fourteen stitching and what I plan to do with my mystery stitches. Don't worry - this doesn't mean the first day of the next Mini Magical Mystery SAL won't happen! That will happen as per the schedule. There will just be a post an hour earlier with this mystery as a final post, as there is just too much to show for it to share the first post of the next mystery.

Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 13
Welcome back for day thirteen of mystery stitching! Just one day left of this pattern! Time has both flown and dragged these past two weeks but the five minutes or so a day needed for this has really given me a moment to just relax. I look forward to seeing things progress these last two days as things are really going to come together in your embroideries!

NFSAL 2020 - March
Welcome to the third of this year's NFSAL posts! This month I stitched the NFSAL myself as Carla Eldridge, who usually stitches these, is off being a hero as she's one of the many people involved with keeping things going. Obviously after a hard day's work that is extra stressful because of all that's going on she's far too tired to stitch, which is more than understandable.
Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 12
Welcome back for day twelve of mystery stitching! I suspect that at least some of you are wondering where I'm going to put three more parts on this mystery - or if you know where: *what* I'm going to add! Well... today you will see one of the three parts left and then the exciting bit really starts!

Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 11
Welcome back for day eleven of mystery stitching! I'm so glad everyone likes this SAL so much and are happy I'm going for round two starting the day after this SAL ends. If you missed it I made a new information post for the second Mini Magical Mystery SAL - I linked it now but if you look on the blog it's also in its own little box in the sidebar on the left.

Mini Magical Mystery SAL 2 - Information Post
Hi and welcome to the second information post for a Mini Magical Mystery SAL! People have been enjoying the first one so much that I decided to do a second one which will start the day after the current one ends: 30th March. I have to admit that I have enjoyed my morning stitching of this SAL with my coffee before getting on with the day and it gives me a good reason to get up and moving at a reasonable time.
Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 10
Welcome back for day ten of mystery stitching! The bad news: Only four parts left after this part. The good news: I'll be doing another one right after this one! The information post will be up in half an hour (so 12:30 pm Amsterdam time) so you have a few days to plot what you will use to make yours!

A Blackwork Christmas - March
Welcome to the third edition of A Blackwork Christmas SAL! I hope all is well with you! Things have been a bit uneventful here lately - which is probably a good thing all things considered. Although I suppose the Mini Magical Mystery SAL that I've been doing every day lately is something different from the usual. Any way... on to this month's stocking! I had so much fun designing this one and it was fun to stitch too.
Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 9
Welcome back for day nine of mystery stitching! The Facebook groups are both being flooded with fabulous progress from all of you! It's so uplifting! Keep it up - we all need stitchy goodness in our feeds <3. I have seen some people posting to Instagram too - it's wonderful! Remember if you do post to Instagram to use the tag #MagicalMysterySAL and/or mention me @Magical525 so I can see your lovely stitching as well!

Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 8
Welcome back for day eight of mystery stitching! This is the first day of week two of the Mini Magical Mystery SAL, where you find out if the flower you made yesterday will remain a flower or become something else. It's going to be a slow stitching week now hehe.

Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 7
Welcome back for day seven of mystery stitching! Can you imagine that the first week is already over? When looking back time always seems shorter than it was, even if it drags while you are experiencing it. Hopefully the few minutes spent stitching this is a bright moment in your day!

Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 6
Welcome back for day six of mystery stitching! Things are looking good on all of the photos I have seen so far! Keep up the good stitching!

35 x 35 for 2020 - March
Welcome to the third 35 x 35 for 2020! It's a tad later than planned but I managed to score an online shopping slot and getting food organised is more important than stitching, especially as I can't leave the house right now as I'm in the high risk category - such fun - but at least I have a garden to sit in when I need to be outside.
Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 5
Welcome back for what is already the fifth day of mystery stitching! Today the excitement starts as you won't have a clue what's happening next - except more stitches of course!
Thursday, 19 March 2020
Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 4
Welcome back for the fourth day of mystery stitching! Hopefully you are keeping up with this mystery SAL - but if not I'm sure you can catch up in no time!

Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Part 3
Welcome back for the third day of mystery stitching! I hope you are all having fun and looking forward to the next bit of stitching! I have seen so many fun colour combinations in the Facebook groups! Someone is stitching on a bright yellowish green, someone else on bright red, and yet others are using a plainer fabric and happy colours - it's so much fun to see!

Easy Christmas Cards SAL - March
Welcome to the third part of the Easy Christmas Cards SAL! I hope you are all well! If you haven't been seeing all my recent posts you may have missed that I have started a 14 day Mini Magical Mystery SAL yesterday - you can read all about it here. I thought I'd mention it just in case you wanted to join in - catching up should take about 10 minutes at this stage of things. Now back to this month's Easy Christmas Card SAL! This month I used perforated plastic to stitch an ornament that you can fix to the card but as usual you can always stitch it on perforated paper or fabric (fabric may need a bit more work depending on how you decide to finish it).

Mini Magical Mystery SAL - Information Post and Part 1
Hi and welcome to a surprise Mini Magical Mystery SAL! With all of the pandemic doom and gloom I thought it a good idea to have a bit of fun and something to look forward to doing every day! Starting today and for the next 13 days (so 14 days total) I'll give a little bit of pattern at noon Amsterdam time. If you saw my first heads up post on Facebook you may have seen that I said 25 x 25 stitches before I fixed it - I am not sure why I made that mistake but it is really 30 x 30 as you will see when you download the first pattern.

The Spring Magical Mystery SAL 2020 - Pre-stitch Part 3
Welcome to the third pre-stitch of the Spring Mystery SAL! I hope you are enjoying the SAL so far! I still haven't had time to catch up with all of you - even though I decided to postpone the ripping of the backstitched outlines (for the making of a biscornu afterwards) in order to start afresh on another bit of the same fabric. As a result I won't be showing any pictures of my progress today but instead a computer generated image showing it up to part two.

Bookmark SAL - March
Welcome to the third part of the Bookmark SAL! Unfortunately it is late - again. Things did not go as planned yesterday and by the time I got home again I was too exhausted to finish the stitching and write the post. As it turned out I wouldn't have had time to do everything before bed as it took me 2 hours and 30 minutes to finish stitching to a point where you can see what's going on and get all the photos made for the tutorial. There are around 30 photos on this post - please take care when using a mobile device to view this page.

Blackwork SAL 2020 - March
Welcome to the third part of the 2020 Blackwork SAL! This month you will finally see the last of the plusses that I've been hiding under the white bars! From now on I'm going to have to keep up with all of you - it should be doable! I did this month's between other stuff so it should work out ok.

Ornament of the Month 2020 - March
Welcome to the third Ornament of the Month for 2020! This month I not only had time to do the finishing for February but I also completely stitched and finished March! So I'll first show pictures of February and then I'll show you what I created for March.

Temperature SAL - March
Welcome to the third Temperature SAL post! The end of February arrived with a new row for the last three days - the third row is stitched the same as the first so the direction of stitching the spokes of the Wednesday to Sunday element has changed. If you are unsure of how to stitch it check the January post.
