Happy New Year! I hope you had a great New Year's Eve even if you didn't join in with my little NYE Mystery SAL. I wish all of you a wonderful year with plenty of stitching and other crafts that you enjoy and no reverse stitching. In an hour the first SAL of the year is going to be posted: Weavers Birds.
A tip for my patterns: You will find less mistakes are made if you read the post that has the pattern AND the notes on the SAL - they are often the same but not always so it's good to check. I've already noticed people asking me things from information posts so please, do take a moment to read them, even if they are long.
Now on to the bit I know you are waiting for! The giveaway results!
46 people entered though unfortunately six didn't notice they had to also answer a question to be included so there were 40 valid entries.
And here they are - all written down with a pen that didn't always want to work.
I then folded them up so they were all identical - I didn't want any of them looking different so they'd stick out and be chosen because of that.
I then put them into an empty star shaped cookie tin - it was for a Christmas/600 post giveaway after all!
Now you can see why I chose a tin this time - there were so many entries I wanted to be able to make sure they were properly mixed - what better way than to be able to shake a tin around that has odd corners for things to bump around in? I also rotated the tin to make sure nothing got into corners and remained unmixed.
Youngest took the lid off after giving it another shake for good luck!
His hand went in...
He picked one up... and another tried to sneak in too but he shook it loose so only the one he was actually holding stayed in his hands....
And the winner is Debby!
And because I like to share here is the pattern for the picture you can see above!
Have a great day and see you in an hour if you are doing the Weavers Birds SAL!
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.
