Autumn Mystery SAL 2019 - Part 7

Welcome to the seventh part of the Autumn Mystery SAL 2019! I hope you are enjoying the stitching so far and like what you see! So far I have seen some awesome stitching happening over in the Facebook group!
This is what mine looked like after stitching part six - I have a lot of clips on the hoop not only keeping the fabric tamed but also the threads out of the way.
On the back you end up with a bit of a spiders web that needs constant adjustment to get the threads out of the way of where you want to stitch, it's a bit of a pain but I prefer it to constant starting and stopping. This is definitively a "Your Mileage May Vary" moment - do what works for you and what you feel comfy with. I personally feel that when doing a Mystery SAL of this type the normal "rules" can be defenestrated and you just stitch away!

There are two new colours - the last two that haven't been used yet! - and one returning colour this time. As all of the colours have been used now I won't be telling you how many colours are in the next part any more as you can read it all below.

Remember to check the information sheet on the pattern for pointers as to where new stitches are added and count carefully!

Colour used this time:

  • Colour A (DMC 730 on the pattern)
  • Colour C (DMC 680 on the pattern)
  • Colour D (DMC 3853 on the pattern)
Number of stitches:
  • 16 - in Colour A
  • 28 - in Colour C
  • 32 - in Colour D
For a total of 76 stitches for this part.
Time I needed to stitch this part: 38 minutes.

You can find the pattern here

I'll see you for the next part of the mystery in four hours! Have fun!

On all social media sites the tag to use is: #AutumnMagicalMysterySAL - let's make the world see what we are up to!

I do not expect anyone to be able to be up to date at all times during the SAL - you need to eat and sleep at the very least so expect to be "behind" part - if not all - of the time! It's part of the nature of this type of SAL for this to happen, so being "behind" is the normal state of affairs. If you are a slow stitcher expect to finish "after" the SAL has "finished" - though tbh the SAL is always available and new people find the patterns on a regular basis so it's never really over.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! Either here or in the Facebook group or, if you prefer, you can DM me on Twitter or Instagram (@magical525 on both)
