Friday Freebie: 50 x 50 for 2019 - April

Welcome back for the fourth edition of the 50 x 50 pattern series! This month I was on schedule and had time to stitch both patterns! I was planning on posting this around three-ish but I got a bit slowed down by the fact that I couldn't find the exact colour combination of the Welsh Weave that inspired this pattern, I'll show what I found instead though.

I didn't use the image from the website it came from as that would mean their servers use more bandwidth due to my blog which isn't fair on them, so if you want to look at the image itself head over to Melin Tregwynt - the weave pattern is "Vintage Rose" and still comes in a few colourways. I would *so* buy metres and metres of this if I had the money - it's not cheap but it's excellent quality.

The version I found was a two colour weave which is slightly different than this but you can certainly see they are sisters.

I used Jodyri Designs Rainforest 004R on the left and DMC 013 on the right. The fabric is Jodyri Designs November 2018 Year of Fabric - Pastels "Golden Citrine" 14ct Aida that I won last Christmas (if you want to see it in its entirety then look here). I LOVE this yellow... it's fabulous and I wish I had more! Metres and metres of it!  *ahem* back to the reason of this post...

This is the main pattern when finished as a biscornu. You may notice it's a bit off centre, that's because the pattern is too. If you want it perfectly centred then you'd need to make it 49 stitches square instead. This pattern can of course be repeated infinitely!

And here is the alternate pattern - it too is off centre for the same reason as the front - it is after all the inverse of the main pattern.
