Friday Freebie: Fob a Month - January

Yes you see that correctly! The Fob a Month is back! Every second Friday of the month I'll be giving you a fob pattern that is 35 stitches square at most. There is no theme to this - just whatever I come up with at the time but they will always be a good size for a fob - or if stitched on larger fabric a biscornu.
This month's pattern is inspired by snowdrops peeking through the snow - you may find that it doesn't show up so well on a lighter fabric, I used Antique white 14ct Aida for mine and it is pretty subtle in the given colours. If you want it more visible you could opt for a darker fabric or choose darker colours - I have offered two suggestions in the notes. Of course you can always go your own way and make the flowers a different colour as well!

As you can see in the photo above my WIP of this is VERY subtle, especially the B5200 and 3865.

You can find the pattern here

Editing to add: As the pattern I made is in hindsight rather large for a fob I have added a smaller pattern more suitable to be a fob to the already existing pdf so that you can have a matching pincushion and fob set.

I'll see you next week Wednesday with the next instalment of the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler!

  1. Such a lovely pattern. I think it would look really nice on a natural linen fabric...I'll have to do some stash digging!
