It might not yet be Monday where you are when you read this as for some it is not but for me and many others it is indeed already Monday and its high time I gave you a surprise freebie on a Monday! Some of you may recognise parts of this as being the Friday freebie and that is correct!
I was contacted on Facebook by someone wanting to know how to make the Friday freebie into a square so they could make a gift for their aunt who quilts. I decided to have a look and see what could be done. While looking I came up with an idea and decided to just go with it instead of explaining as I made some changes as well as a few repeats, not just exact copies in places but also with some colour changes.
As with the Friday freebie have fun with the colours - make changes etc to make you happy and perhaps use up some floss you have lying around.
You can find the pattern here
I'll see you Tuesday night for the next Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL pattern! Have a great day/night!
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.

Thank you for this cute chart. I have it saved to stitch later.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! I hope you enjoy stitching it when it's turn comes to be stitched :)
DeleteThank you for this "freebie". Like Tamara, I have saved it to stitch later.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! A stash of patterns is a good thing to have in my opinion :D
DeleteIt might be even prettier in the square version...I can't decide and might have to stitch both eventually!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It might be the new elements I added - you could do the top half on it's own and then you could use both bits as the inner and outer cover of a needle book :)
