Welcome
to the ninth of the 25 x 25 for 2019 patterns! This month I not only stitched it but I finish finished it too! Not sure how as my body is hating me for having the nerve to leave the house yesterday but I had an appointment to go to and leaving the house was part of the requirement for this particular appointment.
I had a bit of trouble getting a nice photo of the ornament/fob I made - the setting sun was just at the right angle to make my tablet's shadow stick up over the embroidery. Then I decided to hang it on the back fence where it got the sun from the side instead. Now the red cord and tassel look like they have gold added!
For my ornament/fob (not sure what I'm going to use it as yet) I used Jodyri Designs October 2017 limited edition "Regan (The Exorcist)" 18CT Opal Aida and DMC threads for the embroidery. I used matching craft thread for the cord and tassel. I used TOHO TR-11-28DF Silver Lined Frosted Cobalt seed beads for the finishing.
This month's pattern is cross stitch only!
You can find the pattern here
Have a great weekend! I'll see you Tuesday for the next part of the Blackwork SAL.
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.

I really like these quick little projects and they will be cute for a little tree at Christmas. Do you have a tutorial on how to finish around the edges? Not sure how to do that with the beading.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wanted to take a look at the Christmas in July section but it is no longer available. Is it available somewhere else?
I already told you that I love this one, but I'll keep repeating myself as long as you'll listen :D
