Friday Freebie: Cuteness

Happy Friday! This week is a non SAL week but I have a freebie for you as usual. Less usual is the lack of a real hint in the title of the post as to what the pattern is of. That's because I wanted to give you a bit of a surprise this week. The pattern itself happened entirely because I needed a pattern quickly and don't always like to go for the standard things. The pattern was made for the KLT vs Jodyri Designs Challenge month and I not only designed it but I also stitched and finish finished it within 24 hours!
Those of you who follow me on Instagram will have seen a sneak preview without knowing what it was other than that it was grey. Now you can see it all finished!

The pattern is 991 stitches in six colours. I used Jodyri Designs October 2017 limited edition "Regan (The Exorcist)" 18ct Opal Aida and DMC threads for the embroidery. This time I drew a rough outline on the back of the embroidery which I then used as the sewing line to hand stitch it - I didn't do too good a job but I'm happy enough. I used matching craft thread for the cord that I hand stitched down one side seam and up to the top, making a loop before going back down the other side.

This month's pattern is cross stitch only!

You can find the pattern here

Have a great weekend! I'll see you tomorrow for the second pre-stitch of the Autumn Mystery SAL!
