Autumn Mystery SAL 2019 - Pre-stitch part 1

Welcome to the first pre-stitch part of the Autumn Mystery SAL 2019! If you don't know what this is have a look at the information post where you can read what you need to join in this free and fun SAL!

Important notice! I made a mistake with the date and gave the date for the Thursday instead of the Friday which it was supposed to be.

The correct start date for the main mystery is FRIDAY 15th November.

Also if you got the pattern shortly after this post went up you will have two incorrect colours in the pattern - this has now been changed.  To get the correct information please re-download the pattern OR:
  • Change colour E to DMC 921
  • Change colour F to DMC 816

I'm sure you are all dying to see what you get to do this SAL and if you look at the pattern you will see it too! As always I will share a picture of what I've stitched next time so as not to spoil what the pattern will be before you look at the pdf.

What I can tell you is that to make things easier I have given what will be the outer edge and some stitches near the middle of the pattern in this first pre-stitch so you will always know to work within the outer lines and know where the middle is - always handy. Since you won't be in a rush to be ready for the next part in four hours you can take your time to make sure everything is where it belongs.
The threads and fabric are all Jodyri Designs, some from the main range, some are limited edition. Good places to look for colour inspiration are the information post mentioned above and the Facebook group mentioned below. Go dig through your stash and see what you have already - it's good fun and uses up those threads!

Colour used this time:

  • Colour F (DMC 816 on the pattern)
Number of stitches:
  • 60 - in Colour F
You can find the pattern here

See you for the next part of the mystery on October 26th and have fun!

On all social media sites the tag to use is: #AutumnMagicalMysterySAL - let's make the world see what we are up to!

PS: Don't forget you can ask all your questions in the comments below and there is a Facebook group to share your stitching results etc. which you can find here

  1. I still haven't pulled my colours, but with the prestitches being so small this time I'm sure I can still make it - I am crazy excited after all!

    1. Yes, you can still make it! Even if you skip doing the pre-stitches till the evening before :)
