Welcome back for the sixth edition of the 50 x 50 pattern series! This month I wasn't able to complete stitching of either pattern. It's been a roller coaster kind of week, Tuesday I had a panic attack so that was the end of that for the day. Wednesday I spent as a bundle of nerves and unable to concentrate on anything while waiting for oldest's exam results - he passed so that was a huge relief. Thursday I had the eye doctor to visit, first time in far too long. After all the tests and eye drops I couldn't see for hours and was almost completely unable to stitch (bicycling home while more or less blind was "fun". Fortunately oldest had come with me and he made sure I got home safely). Today I took the kids out to eat sushi at a really good all you can eat place to celebrate oldest passing his exams - it took a couple of hours after getting home to be able to sit at my computer again as I was completely wiped out. I'm glad the weekly shop is out of the way as I'm pretty sure tomorrow is going to be a recovery day.
This is my start of the 50 x 50 of this month - if you look carefully you can find the hidden flowers that are peeking between the green leaves that I have stitched. I got 479 stitches done with 702 left to go. I used Jodyri Designs November 2018 Limited Edition "Firelight" 18ct Aida. I used Jodyri Designs "The Seven Deadly Sins - Envy" 177 R Thread. I didn't pay too much attention to where the colours
landed. What I did do was stitch from top/left to bottom/right and then return to the top by stitching the flower centres.
This is the pattern in its entirety - lots of flowers hiding on here! All you need is a fun fabric to show them off!
If you don't want to have the flowers hidden then you can of course stitch the alternate pattern which shows all the hidden flowers!
Like last month the nice thing about this pattern is that you can repeat it as often or
as little as you like (or have the patience for) and it will look
great!

I'll see you Tuesday for the next part of the Medieval Owl SAL!
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.
