Happy Friday! This week is a no SAL post so instead I have a fun pattern for you! Although it's called A Study in Green you can do it in any colour or colours you like. The pattern calls for French knots but you can always use beads or colonial knots instead.
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.

Blackwork SAL - June
Welcome to the sixth part of the Blackwork SAL! I had to go get new glasses sorted out today and the optician said she didn't know how I could see at all without glasses... yikes! The new ones will be ready in the middle of July - along with a separate pair of reading glasses as bi-focal's aren't possible with my eyes. Always fun to discover that you can do the impossible!

July Plans and more
It being the summer I'll be taking things a bit easier over the month of July, especially while I'm away for a bit. I'll be writing posts ahead of time and you could see less stitching in the posts as I may not have time to stitch it all before I go away. One thing I will start is a Summer SAL over in the Mystery SAL group! Before all that let me show you what I spent some of the donations I have been given since the last post mentioning donations.

Friday Freebie: 25 x 25 for 2019 - June
Welcome
to the sixth of the 25 x 25 for 2019 patterns! This month I got to use two beautiful threads - I'll tell you a bit more about them below. I managed to stitch the pattern twice but didn't get round to finishing them into a biscornu.

Medieval Owl SAL - June
Welcome to the June edition of the Medieval Owl SAL! This month you get to add the first part of the tail! My health issues have been cheerfully continuing as per usual and as so many times already this month they have affected my stitching. I'm just 163 stitches (and 16 colours) short of completing this month's section as I type this. I did get the first six colours done - which added up to 503 stitches, so I didn't do too badly for a day's stitching.

Friday Freebie: 50 x 50 for 2019 - June
Welcome back for the sixth edition of the 50 x 50 pattern series! This month I wasn't able to complete stitching of either pattern. It's been a roller coaster kind of week, Tuesday I had a panic attack so that was the end of that for the day. Wednesday I spent as a bundle of nerves and unable to concentrate on anything while waiting for oldest's exam results - he passed so that was a huge relief. Thursday I had the eye doctor to visit, first time in far too long. After all the tests and eye drops I couldn't see for hours and was almost completely unable to stitch (bicycling home while more or less blind was "fun". Fortunately oldest had come with me and he made sure I got home safely). Today I took the kids out to eat sushi at a really good all you can eat place to celebrate oldest passing his exams - it took a couple of hours after getting home to be able to sit at my computer again as I was completely wiped out. I'm glad the weekly shop is out of the way as I'm pretty sure tomorrow is going to be a recovery day.

Mamluk Cross Stitch SAL - Part 6
Welcome to the sixth part of the Mamluk SAL! This month we are going to finish the row! Although we are half way with the monthly parts we are not halfway with the stitching as the coming six months will feature the higher stitch count areas.

Friday Freebie: Ornament of the Month - June
Welcome
to the sixth Ornament of the Month for 2019! This month's colour is silver - it's a lovely colour for sparkle and gives a subtle stitching pattern on the ornament itself. Making this ornament was a saga in itself as you can read below.

NFSAL 2019 - June
Welcome to the sixth NFSAL of 2019! This month I did not have time to stitch the NFSAL so you get the computer generated image instead.

Finish It In...2019 - Check In Post for June, TUSAL, and More
Welcome to the sixth Finish It In... 2019 post for the year! In this
post I'll show you what I've been up to since the last post (except for
the still secret stuff), and all the other things that I have added to
this once a month mega post. Get your coffee, tea, or favourite drink of
choice out and make sure you are on Wi-Fi if you are on a mobile device
as this post is picture heavy as always.

Weavers Birds SAL - Part 6
Welcome to the sixth part of the Weavers Birds SAL! This month you finish band two and do most of band three! Yes, that's right - band three is a skinny band of just 19 stitches high excluding the bands that come between each band.
