I'm sure you are all dying to see what you get to do this time and if you look at the pattern you will see it too! As always I will share a picture of what I've stitched next time so as not to spoil what the pattern will be before you look at the pdf.
What I can tell you is that to make things easier I have given what will be the outer edge and the middle of the pattern in this first pre-stitch so you will always know to work within the outer lines and know where the middle is - always handy. This means that those confusing lines I used in the past are not on this pattern at all!
I shared my colours over on the Facebook group but have since changed the orange and I think the yellow too - I couldn't choose so ended up putting all of the colours away and starting from scratch - and ended up with almost the same colours hahaha. The threads and fabric are all Jodyri Designs, some from the main range, some are limited edition. Good places to look for colour inspiration are the information post mentioned above and the Facebook group mentioned below. Go dig through your stash and see what you have already - it's good fun and uses up those threads!
Colours used this time:
- Colour A (DMC 369 on the pattern)
- Colour H (DMC 445 on the pattern)
- 108 - in Colour A
- 13 - in Colour H
See you for the next part of the mystery on April 1st and have fun!
On all social media sites the tag to use is: #SpringMagicalMysterySAL - let's make the world see what we are up to!
PS: Don't forget you can ask all your questions in the comments below and there is a Facebook group to share your stitching results etc. which you can find here
Ooh! I was "scared" for a moment because I remembered the last pre-stitch being quite large, but this is totally doable on this weekend (on top of my other things I need to catch up on). Now I only need to decide on those colours...
ReplyDeleteYou are correct that last year's spring mystery pre-stitch was pretty large - almost 300 stitches in fact. this time it's only a few more stitches than you get for each pattern section once things get started :) Yes you can totally manage to do this - especially as it's easy enough to remember what to stitch where once you get started :)
DeleteYAY!! Now I can figure out fabric and stuff!
ReplyDeleteYou were waiting for the first part to choose? :)
