Friday Freebie: Weavers Border Variations

Having seen the title many of you will be wondering why I'm showing a picture of my Randje per Week... well that's because the source of the pattern is stitched on it. That of course still doesn't help at all so I'll point it out to you: it's the teal and brown border in the middle of the photo. The border pattern is one of the weavers draft patterns found on the Antique Pattern Library and I liked it so much I used it on my Randje per Week.

Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL: Part 17

Welcome back for part 17 of the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL! This week there are only a few stitches left to complete the stags but 302 to do the little border between this and the next band. As it's the end of a band and I prefer not to give a single row of the next band in a pattern you have a row less of stitching this week - which is good considering this week's pattern has 486 stitches.

Friday Freebie: Summer Sun

Happy Friday! If you are in northern Europe you may have thought that summer has arrived already as it's quite hot at the moment (but due to cool down next week), though I know that many of you are either heading towards Winter or are having issues getting rid of Winter as it's overstayed it's welcome.

Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL: Part 16

Welcome back for part 16 of the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL! After last week's high coverage section of pattern this week it's a little less! With "just" 495 stitches compared to the 791 of last week it will be a little easier to stitch it before the week is up, if you are so inclined that is! As I want to have mine stitched up before I release the pattern I generally am up to date, though as you may have seen last week I wasn't. This week I have worked very hard to catch up and do both last week's band and this week's. Did I succeed? Well... you will have to read on for that answer!

Friday Freebie: Fob a Month - April

Welcome to the fourth edition of the Fob a Month for 2018! This month the pattern was inspired by tulips... and not just any tulips but black tulips! It's always been a source of amusement to me that what people call black tulips are generally (but not always) more like really dark purple or red tulips called black tulips as they are the holy grail of tulip colour, so I chose really dark purples and reds to create my pattern.

Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL: Part 15

Welcome back for part 15 of the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL! I've seen some people apologise for being "behind" on the SAL - please don't be! Everyone has different amounts of time available for stitching, so if you have a busy job or juggle a job with kids, or a family member to look after, or you are disabled or whatever, and use this as your therapy just enjoy the moments when you can stitch! I know some people collect the patterns so they can do four or so at a time! The patterns will remain free on my blog so you can just work at your own speed and enjoy the journey!

Spring Magical Mystery SAL: The Back

Welcome to the very final part of the Spring Magical Mystery SAL - the back! I hope you all enjoyed stitching this SAL and like the end result. The pattern comes with an alphabet so you can add what you like to the back if you don't like the suggested text. I had a great time hosting this and have loved seeing all your pictures come by!

Spring Magical Mystery SAL: Part 15

Welcome to the fifteenth and last part of the Spring Magical Mystery SAL! Or is it.....? Well... If you are stitching the back it's not and if you aren't it is! This part comes with a load of half cross stitches (and a few next to each other that could be referred to as back stitches) and with a load I mean 100 - which sounds like a lot but in fact they go really quickly as you don't need to count to stitch them! You can however see why I saved this bit for last!

Spring Magical Mystery SAL: Part 14

Welcome to the fourteenth part of the Spring Magical Mystery SAL! We are nearing the end though I bet you don't think much more can be added... if anything! Well... you are about to find out what else I have in store for you! I'll give you a hint: MORE green!

Spring Magical Mystery SAL: Part 13

Welcome to the thirteenth part of the Spring Magical Mystery SAL! More of the yellow! Will the yellow never end?

Spring Magical Mystery SAL: Part 12

Welcome to the twelfth part of the Spring Magical Mystery SAL! This time it's another small part - I saved most of the smaller parts for the later part of the SAL so that you wouldn't need as much time on Sunday to stitch them all. Just one colour too!

Spring Magical Mystery SAL: Part 11

Welcome to the eleventh part of the Spring Magical Mystery SAL! Hopefully you are all more or less keeping up with things, especially after a few low stitch count parts! We are going to use another colour for this part, there are more stitches than in the last three parts but there is no counting required!

Spring Magical Mystery SAL: Part 10

Welcome to the tenth part of the Spring Magical Mystery SAL! At the end of this part you will be 2/3 of the way with the SAL - just five parts left! This part is a two colour part again, but still not very many stitches!
