Welcome back for part 16 of the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL! After last week's high coverage section of pattern this week it's a little less! With "just" 495 stitches compared to the 791 of last week it will be a little easier to stitch it before the week is up, if you are so inclined that is! As I want to have mine stitched up before I release the pattern I generally am up to date, though as you may have seen last week I wasn't. This week I have worked very hard to catch up and do both last week's band and this week's. Did I succeed? Well... you will have to read on for that answer!
This is what it will look like once you finish this part.
And this is where I got to with stitching on mine. As you can see I mostly caught up - just 5 legs to go! I had a bad week with my rheumatism playing up due to the weather being changeable so it took a bit of stubbornness and finding different ways to hold the hoop to make it possible at all. My left hand does not like the unbalanced feel of the oval hoop it turns out, so I'll be back so using my favourite hoop for the next band.
And as always the bit we have done and the pattern section we are working on:
At this point I *was* going to show the next band, unfortunately despite many warnings *some* people don't seem to care that posting pictures that have been stitched ahead of the given pattern causes people to worry and then contact me to find out if I've edited the pattern or if they have the wrong pattern. So to avoid the problem I will do as I said I would: not post an overview of the next band any more. Those of you stitching in multiple colours don't have to worry as I'll be making sure you know what is part of what when I post the pattern sections, much like I did for Part 12. I do apologise to everyone but I haven't been given the choice but to do as I warned, which is very disappointing.
What I can tell you now is that the next band will be given as a single section, even though it's 12 stitches high as it's just easier to stitch than if you get a single row with the previous pattern and the last row with the pattern after.

I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.
