Spring Magical Mystery SAL: Part 1

Welcome to the first part of the Spring Magical Mystery SAL! If all is well you have stitched the two pre-stitch parts - or chosen not to so as to keep the mystery a bit longer. If you are just finding this then you need to check out the links in the left-hand sidebar to know what materials you need and get the pre-stitch parts as all else is worked off what you stitch there.

Important pattern notes:

Check to make sure you have your embroidery the right way up! I didn't before starting pre-stitch 2 and had to rip as it was turned 90 degrees and the stitches were not looking the same way.

The patterns all have a red line around them - do NOT stitch this! This line is to help you place where stitches have to go so you can see the centre of the pattern more easily. Though since you are stitching the centre of the pattern this week as well that should also make things easier for you.

The patterns also have a blue line around the red line - if you are stitching a biscornu this is the suggested backstitch line placement.

This is what my version looked like after the pre-stitches - I won't be showing the picture of the part given here until the next part so as to keep the surprise till you open the pdf.

Colour used this time:
  • Colour D
Number of stitches:
  • 52 - all in Colour D

You can find the first part here

Have fun and see you in 4 hours! Remember - as parts are released every 4 hours until the event ends EVERYONE will be behind at one point or another! During the sample stitch I found I was easily able to do the first 4 parts, including writing the notes of the pattern, having coffee, making the pdf, and taking photos in less than half the time that these parts will be given so you should be able to catch up if you do stuff like cook/eat/sleep/socialise.
