Welcome to the next instalment of the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL! It's week 8 and we are getting close to the end of this band! One more week and we will start the first of 2 parts for the next band!
If, unlike me you actually stitch what's on the pattern, then this is what it will look like at the end of this week's pattern.
First of all I "cheated" (such a surprise eh?!?) and finished the feet as they are exactly the same as all the other feet, so anyone could also do that. I also finished the S-shapes by doing the 3 stitches that fall in next week's pattern now. If you look on the overview picture below you can see the stitches I mean. I didn't do the partial diamonds in the central bit, they will be done next week.
One thing I did do that isn't in the photo above is turn the S-shapes into snakes - the beasts looked a bit startled IMO and so them being snakes made sense.
All I did to make this a snake was add 3 little backstitches and a colonial knot (as French knots and I do not get along) and so you don't have to guess where the stitches are:
You could also use a bead for the eye if you prefer!
In case you need an overview of the pattern so far:
Edit: It was pointed out to me that I'd accidentally included a line too many from the previous week's pattern in this week's pattern, which after investigation proved to be correct - I have changed the pattern to be the proper size and the correct colouring for all lines. Nothing else was changed as there was nothing missing from this week's pattern.
You can find the black and white pattern here

If you are stitching this too and want to join us on Facebook just go to
the Facebook group and apply!
If you want to (also) join in on Instagram or Twitter all you need to do
is use the tag #weaverstapestrybandsamplersal and/or my name
@Magical525 and I'll be sure to look in on your work and possibly even
re-tweet it if it's on Twitter!
I'll see you tomorrow with my more or less weekly WIP Wednesday post and Friday for the weekly Friday Freebie!
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.
