Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL: The Completed Border

Last time you saw the border it looked like this - and in the sunshine you can see the fabric's real colour, which you can't see below. Yesterday I stitched a whopping 1284 stitches - the most I have ever stitched!
And here it is! The border is finally complete, though as it only took me 22 days to stitch the 8472 stitches I suppose I can't say it took me overly long to stitch it, but as with all borders of this size there was that moment when it felt like it would never come to an end. Then I moved the hoop and realised that actually I wasn't that far off from the bottom of the long border after all - in fact all I had to do once I moved the hoop again was 37 stitches in height!

Suddenly I got my second wind on this project and sped ahead - just before dinner I'd done over 700 stitches and I knew I'd get pretty close to finishing before bedtime. At bedtime I was 150 stitches away from finishing, thought "sod it" and finished it.

This part of the pattern will be released on the 15th of November - just 10 days away!

See you Wednesday for my weekly WIP Wednesday post, where you will see something else being worked on!

  1. Doing that much in one day and finishing that huge border so quickly was a truly heroic feat! Well done.
