WIP Wednesday

As always I'm starting with my Vakje per Week. This time the pattern was a rather large one and my space rather tiny so instead of doing two whole and a partial shape I offset it all and did lots of partial ones.

The end result is that it looks like there are two squarish circles.
Back from the Drawer of Doom is the Halloween Cat by Satsumastreet which is part of Carla and Leonore's Halloween SAL this year. I've made many colour changes on this, mostly changing the moon and clouds to glow in the dark Kreinik and the tree colours as I dislike pink and once I'd changed one tree the blues trees looked odd so I changed them too.
As you can see a whole lot of tree stitching has happened along with the completion of the top of the tail, the addition of the bow and a bit of the body. With the new colours this is a very different embroidery and it's much more me!

In case you missed it: I finished my Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler border, you can find it here

I don't normally show stash any more but this is something special - I got the tin of new DMC colours in the post today! It's going to take quite a bit of time to bobbinate them but it will be very nice to have them snug in their box next to everything else. The tin is huge! 7 1/2" x 13 1/2" and about an inch deep as well! I'm so happy I pre-ordered this but the wait was horrible lol.

I'll see you Friday with the weekly freebie!

p.s. Don't forget it's just 7 more sleeps till I release the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler border!

    1. Thank you! The original colours are nice, but with my dislike of pink not for me - but that's what's so great about this pattern!
