Friday Freebie: Snowflake Ornament

This snowflake ornament was inspired by seeing people posting about the first snow of the season. It always surprises me that people get snow so early in the year, especially when I see that they are more or less on the same latitude as me and we are having weather that is just a bit too warm for snow.
I then have to remind myself that being almost coastal does have its perks and less snow is one of them. I love snow only when I don't have to go out and before a multitude of feet and cars have turned it into icy mush.

You can't see it very well on the picture above but there is a light blue Kreinik backstitching on the snowflake itself to make it sparkle just that little bit. As it's symmetrical it can be hung as it is or from a corner and both ways will look fabulous on your tree!

This pattern is the 100th free pattern I've posted on my blog! You can find the pattern here

p.s.: I kinda missed posting the WIP Wednesday post - things got very busy on Wednesday, in ways I did not expect and mostly due to the overwhelming and wonderful responses from people about the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL!

  1. Wow, a 100 free patterns already! I think I've barely stitched 20 of them, so many more to go.
