I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.

Friday Freebie: Weavers Tapestry Fob and Pincushion
This week's Friday Freebie is inspired by the weavers draft patterns found on the Antique Pattern Library site which I transferred into a cross stitch pattern. Some elements from this pattern can also be found on the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler that I'm hosting as a SAL here (with a fb group too!), but not all.
If you are planning on joining in with the SAL this would make a great addition to your sewing kit! This pattern also lets you try out the threads before you start to see if you like the combination should you choose to use more than one thread or would like to test the fabric and thread together before starting.
Remember that you do not need to use just one colour for this - you can use more!
I have given the pattern for a pincushion and a fob, though the fob would make a great mini pincushion too.
Note:
The patterns need to be spaced further apart when you stitch them - at least 1/2" or 1,5 cm - I have done them closer together so they fit on a single page.
You can find the pattern here
I'll see you next Wednesday when I will post progress of the border I'm stitching up and hopefully more too!
This post was edited to add the photo of the completed fob.
