Welcome back for the eleventh Ornament of the Month! Now it's November, some of you may already be thinking about Christmas decorating - maybe some of you even have trees out! Personally I wait until after Sinterklaas (the Dutch "Santa") has been on December 5th before getting my tree up but that's mostly because with kids it's easier to do one holiday before the other rather than mixing them up. Now it's a family tradition to do it like this and the one time I did it a few days sooner as the kids no longer believed in Sinterklaas it felt really weird to have it up "that early" so I haven't done that again. I'd love to hear what your family or personal traditions are in this respect!
This month another tree like shape - lots of bling can be added in the shape of beads - and you can add as many or as few as you like!
This should be fairly quick to stitch up as its all diagonal lines and once you have started a line you just keep going till you reach the end!

I'll see you Tuesday for the 45th part of the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL!
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.

We never put our Christmas tree up before Christmas, and then we always travel around Christmas so I never bothered setting one up at home. I'm thinking about getting one in the beginning of December this year, though, so I can actually enjoy it before we leave!
ReplyDeleteThat is indeed a downside to putting the tree etc up just before Christmas day. I think your idea of putting it up sooner is a great idea - it means you get to enjoy your ornaments despite all the travelling you do!
