Welcome back for the fifth Ornament of the Month! This month we are moving on to green - DMC 700 with DMC 702 as the backstitch colour.
As you can see on this overview picture I did *finally* get March completely stitched earlier this month however I didn't get far with stitching May - partly due to a trip to IKEA that almost did me in resulting in me not stitching for almost two days and partly due to me having issues counting to two and missing a stitch which meant I had to rip out 2/3 of what I'd stitched.
And here is this month's triangle shape the right way round. I just *had* to make a tree like shape with the green this month!
And this is what the base will look like when stitched - it's a bit of a knot garden but if you look carefully you will see its all squares which means it's not as difficult to stitch as it first might seem.

I'll see you Tuesday for the 19th part of the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL!
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.

It's lovely! I like how the base is all square and then we get trees growing out of it, that just feels right.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm so glad you like it! :D
