It's not Friday and this isn't a Friday freebie! It's the pattern I used to make the Secret Santa for the yearly Stitching Pirates group over on deviant art and the recipient has said it's ok for me to share it!
I stitched mine on 12ct Aida as that's what I had to hand, though I wanted to use 14ct Aida.
For some reason it shows as rectangular even though it's a perfectly square pattern - it's the risk of Aida of an unknown brand. As mine is so big and I used 3 strands of the DMC for cross stitch and 2 strands of DMC for the backstitch I used a lot more thread than the pattern says.
The pattern has 2 pages and 2 pages of written instructions - one is the pattern itself in the correct colours and the second pattern page is the pattern showing all the misc. stitching lines - all colour coded! The written instructions tell you the stitching order. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask - If you can't express yourself in English then use your own language, Google translate and I are friends hehe.
You can find the pattern here
I'll see you tomorrow for your regularly scheduled Friday freebie!
I first started this blog due to "popular demand" for me to to share my cooking and quilting results in blog form as it was easier for friends and people who know me to see what I'm up to, especially compared to just an image hosting site. Now I blog because I enjoy sharing what I do and hope that I do in some way inspire people to try new things out as well.
